and the adventure begins.
here I am. High Sierra Spring 2012. what?! For those of you who don't know me...I never ever ever saw myself here...up in Bass Lake, CA for a semester "abroad" through APU that involves many adventures some of which include backpacking, hiking, rock climbing, kayaking, etc. (I am not the most "outdoorsy" person! haha) However, I KNOW that I am supposed to be here. For some reason, all my other plans fell through and everything about High Sierra worked out...nothing explains that but the Lord's divine intervention. I have decided to record my "Chronicles of High Sierra" here mostly for myself to track my growth spiritually, physically, academically, mentally, and emotionally for this semester that is sure to be a challenge yet so life changing. But...it's also a way for those of you that care to keep track of my many adventures! So...here goes! I came into High Sierra with NO expectations....I was hired as the girl community mentor (aka RA) here and had to come up a week early for training. Let me just tell you that the minute I stepped on campus...I KNEW this was where I am supposed to be and got instantly stoked for this adventure I am about to embark on. On my next post...I am going to highlight the days of training I have experienced so far! Stay tuned for more posts about training in the future...and eventually (hopefully) everyday when the semester "officially" begins and the rest of the students arrive!
